Seems like a decent price, but still only 500 GB. I got the 3 TB deal on BF for $99! I too was thinking of stealing the drive for a laptop, but at 5400 will pass.
Is this worth it? I'm not in need of 1 at the moment, but I'm always a sucker for steals. I picked up a 3tb seagate back up plus external for $99... so is this still a good buy?

its a good price on 500gb normally $69.99 or higher
This one is an external laptop size drive, the one on BF was an internal desktop drive. There was a Seagate 320 5400.6 for $34.99.

Tried to put order through a couple of times using Internet Explorer and Staples says cannot add to cart because sold out "in your area" (Sf Bay, CA). Order goes through fine with Firefox. Right after success, tried adding to cart again with IE and get the same unavailable message.
I did it with IE about 50 minutes ago, perhaps your IE defaults need to be reset...

Got two, finally used that Staples gift card that I had for two years floating around.
Is this that great of a deal? I have never shopped for an ex hard drive with the exception of blk friday. It seems like Staples and Newegg always have these kind of promotions? or am I dead wrong?

Whatever happened to the Seagate 2TB thread? Will someone please link to it? Thanks!
This is a really good deal when you understand that this is for a PORTABLE drive rather than an EXTERNAL drive. Difference, portable is smaller, lighter and is powered by the USB port. Cons is that they cost more than the bigger and heavier external counterparts that require a power source.

Wouldn't it be easier to just stay off the internet? On each website he visits he sees the letter "A" and nothing else.
