I have an Ipad 4. I ordered a Targus blue case, it works for me! I have used it for two days, it's not shutting off and on for me. I don't think it has a magnet. Great deal!

I didn't realize In the "General Settings," I had my "Ipad Cover Lock/Unlock" to "Off." If I put it "On" it seems to work Ok, with the magnet, but I am not sure. In any case, I left it "Off." Case solved!
