Amazon has lowered the price of the complete set the Indiana Jones movies to $39.99. This is the second best price if you were not able to get the Target deal.

Been holding off on this one, hoping for a price drop.

$40 seems right for one of the best trilogies ever. They even include a bonus disc with something about crystal skulls on it!

Nice. Amazon is sure making my holiday shopping easy this year.

I'm still morally opposed to paying for the fourth one.

Target may match this. Target.com has a coupon $10 off the complete set. Making it 29.99 if matched.

This is a huge YMMV. Target's policy states "buy a qualifying item... ...must bring in original Target receipt...".

I doubt they will price match then take the coupon afterwards. You could get lucky though.

I don't get it... what's the 5th disc?

1. Raiders of the Lost Ark (1981)
2. Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom (1984)
3. Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade (1989)
4. A Fancy Drink Coaster (2008)
5. special features and stuff???

In the top 5 best episodes IMO. Storm trooper scene was the best.

The packaging is worth a complaint. It’s one of those terrible cardboard things that the discs slip into. Never had discs that do not get scratched from that kind of packaging. Also the binding on the “book” is pretty bad and likely to fall apart very quickly. Also the information is the set is totally lacking any information about what special features are included ( there is no booklet ) the only information you get is the sticker on the back of the box. In fact there is very little information in the “book” just lots of stills so not sure what the point of going in this direction was.

The discs themselves are housed in a digibook case, with a hard cardboard slipcover, similar to the Star Wars Blu-ray set, with one exception – the discs are slid between the pages.

While this looks nice, it can lead to unwanted scuffs and scratches on the discs themselves, even with the scratch guard that's standard on all Blu-ray discs. The set does look nice, at least, but when it comes to big sets like this, practicality should be considered over design. People want this stuff to last. They don't want the discs to get scratched. With that in mind, it would have been better to see standard BD cases instead. They're durable and they don't mess with the discs at all.

The case is also missing any information about the discs. What are the special features on disc five? You'll have to plop the disc in your BD player to see. What are the specs for the set? Well, if you've already thrown out the little slip that advertizes the set, you won't know until you play the films. We get a two-page spread dedicated to the cast and crew credits, but why not the disc specs? The old Indy DVDs included a booklet! So did the Star Wars Blu-ray set. It's a minor pet peeve, but seriously – would it have been that hard to include some specs and bonus feature info on the inside box? Come on.

If I had to complain about the actual set, it’s the way the discs are held. They are held in between cardboard pages, which will add markings and scratches on the Blu-Ray over time. The same will happen to Star Wars as well. The set itself looks really nice but something should have been done to help these discs not get scratched.

I gotta say, I don’t like the way the discs have to be pulled from the slots in the packaging, as they may eventually become scuffed or scratched, even with the standard scratch guard found on all Blu-Ray discs. Standard BD cases should have been used instead, inside the nifty cardboard cover, as I plan on revisiting my favorite archaeologist for many years to come!

The last movie just plain stinks, that's why.

No Digital Copy... I know it doesn't matter for most, but I was happy the Dark Knight trilogy included them.

Bestbuy is now honoring Amazon.com's prices through Xmas on items sold by Amazon (not 3rd party suppliers). Print out the Amazon price listing from the OP link and bring it into BB.

Note: not sure if this interim policy applies to some or ALL of their items.... I recently did a pricematch to an item in their computer department that worked.

thanks... got one.
