I'm pretty sure these are meant as an under layer. The material is pretty light and I don't think you should wear these with nothing under or over them.

Has anyone got shipping confirmation yet? I ordered on 12/9/12 (Sunday), and they said expected delivery was on 12/12/12. I have yet to receive any kind of tracking number via email or shipping confirmation.

Thanks OP I picked 2 of these up.
I wear them under my shorts for crossfit workouts, you don't want to wear cotton style briefs, these are a way better option.
Also good for long trail runs if you sweat alot, as they wick and keep you dry.
