I've had too many NiCd drills that don't last. Nothing but Lithium powered tools for me from now on.

I've had one for over a year. Paid about $33 online on Black Friday of '11. It's just about all I need anymore as a homeowner, and it seems as powerful as when I bought it. Great for folks who can live without a brand name unit. The more I use this one, the more I like it, after I pitched all my expensive and useless Makita NiMH-powered items. What I like best is what's left over in my wallet.

Sears was offering this drill at this price peridiocally since early Novemeber... I bought it initially, but I later returned it (unopened) when I got my hands on the Lithium-powered 19.2V C3 drill which was offered for $49.99 on BF, but with additional $10.00 I got it for $39.99. The lithium C3 drill is from a different league

I like NiCAD. Its been better to me than Lithium ion or polymer. Weird but true.

If I were looking for a reasonable drill for home projects, I would choose this one
Good price if one doesn't mind that it's NiCad but I'd never again buy anything, especially power tools, that runs on NiCad rechargeable batteries no matter how good the deal is. Won't touch them with a ten-foot pole. For me it's either Li-ion or at the very least, NiMH, both of which are superior to nicads.
