Ok, looks to be targeted to AMEX Platinum card users, and also no obvious way to extend subscriptions for existing users, even though nothing explicitly prevents it.
So just start a new Shoprunner account or how to extend existing?

Craps out if I try to enter same info as current account. Also site getting hammered it looks like.
Wants you to log in if you use existing credentials but my browser session was already logged in, so looks like a no go on existing.
Just signed up with a new email address. No problems whatsoever. My current (free) account was expiring at the end of the month.

Signed up and the good part it does NOT auto renew
Your Shoprunner membership is set to 'do not renew' and will expire on 12/19/2013 unless you set your membership to 'automatically renew'.
edit: clicked add gmail and got an extra 3 months " and will expire on 3/19/2014"

If they were smart, the should make you enter your AMEX plat and authorize a $1 without actually charging it.

I added gmail, got extra 3 months, cancelled Shoprunner central immediately and still have the extra 3 months.

BE CAREFUL !!!!!! I DID THIS LAST YEAR.
What they don't tell you is that your credit card is auto renewed at the 1 year mark for $79.

Do not give your credit card info or select NO AUTO RENEW.

Was able to restart a free trial (3 mo) that just ended, and it kept my purchase history intact, not that I care about that really. So, if you have a trail account that has ended, they must consider that a new customer. Also did the add gmail thing and got an additional 3 months.

They do tell you that. And if you use the above deal, and don't enter CC info, they can't charge you. Just set it to not auto renew if they already have your CC info.

to clarify, it seems it extends membership by 1 year from TODAY, NOT from when your original membership expires...

Used my work email and added business name, along with the same address I used for my personal account last year. Seemed to go through. I could handle flipping back and forth each year for the free 2-day from Newegg.
