1080p and decent brand name for $228? If it were a 720p I would agree with you but this seems to be a decent deal.

I didn't say its not a decent deal. I agree with you it is. But I do not think its hot - there have been many 1080p deals <$200, granted brands like Sceptre but RCA while well known is not in the same tier as Pannys, Samsungs and Sonys or even Toshiba.

RCA today is a brand purchased by a marketing firm called On Corporation to sell products (mostly manufactured in China) under the label. It has nothing to do with its former glory.
