Why don't they make some basic efforts in making their guns look a bit nicer. You know, like how Hyundai and Kia is coming out with nicer designs even though they are affordable.

I own many guns. And most of them can hardly b e called pretty. Aside from my FsN and any nickel plated guns. All my other ones seem pretty ugly

My dad always told me the uglier they are, the harder they work. In retrospect I'm not sure he was talking about guns......

What is the max clip on these?

It's MAGAZINE...

These are often cross shopped against the Kel Tec SUB-2000, which is a folding carbine available in 9mm or .40, which takes pistol magazines.

The 9mm SUB-2000 can be configured in the following magazine types: GLK17, GLK19, S&W59, BERETTA92, SIG226.
The .40 SUB-2000 can be configured in the following magazine types: GLK22, GLK23, BERETTA96, S&W4006, SIG226.

They are in high demand but they can be order from B&H for $300, that is where I got mine: http://www.thektog.org/forum/f85/sub-2000-availability-231234/

I have the Glock 17 model and have three 33 round magazines, one genuine Glock, two KCIs. The Glock mag was $30 the KCIs were $15.

A common complaint with the Hi-Point is the cost/availability/capacity of magazines, which was a deal breaker for me.

Only reason I posted all this was I saw the Hi-Point for sale on SD or FW and started doing research and ended up with the Kel Tec.

Kel-tec is not nearly as accurate as the Hi Pont carbine in a dozen or more field test,Thats why several police squadrons have adapted to using them along with AR'S as a more cost efficient weapon. You really only maybe need a few shots if a rifles accurate,so the amount of ammo you can carry is not that big a deal, hence the extra need for larger mags for the Kel-Tec

I cannot find any unbiased information that indicates one is more accurate than the other: http://www.thektog.org/forum/f100/carbines-hi-point-995-vs-kel-t...

Certainly you are joking right? I doubt ANY credible law enforcement agency would buy and use Hi Point Carbines. Besides, what purpose does the Hi Point carbine serve for LEO's?

That's like saying that the Florida Highway Patrol uses Hi Point .45's, Totally false.

Doesn't look good at this point. Link takes you to dealer's homepage, which says not to bother calling because they're overwhelmed. A search of their site does not show a 9mm High Point 995 at all.

B&H is no longer taking orders.

I got my original Hi Point 995 carbine from Vances a few years ago. Their service/delivery was prompt and courteous. Have not found a recommended high-capacity magazine, so I'm limited to the original, but it's a nice rifle, and a good value.

I believe ProMag has a 14 rd. mag. I'am not crazy about ProMag but they usually work with single stack magazine feed as in the case of Hi Point carbines
