Is there any FAR software out there right now, or something FAR else I can use this on?If you buy anything now using partial rewards, the balance coupon will have an expiration of 01/31.Or they can buy now using all the rewards and if they return the goods by 12/31 they can have the entire balance rewards extend to 1/31. Or, as you suggest, just buy something cheap and have the balance coupon extend to 1/31.

I have enough Staples gc's to qualify for Premier in 2013 and my plan is to use them for FA Rebate not FA Rewards stuff unless I want the Rewards item, ie the plastic storage totes, double ink recycling. Going from gift card to Rewards is a step down not up the food chain, kwim? We have 365 days to reach Premier in 2013, no reason to rush.

It's sad Staples has me so spoiled I think $1 per ream for copy paper is too expensive.

Edit - Changed to 2 photos and 1 copy paper. Thx bill

You mean 2 photo and 1 copy. Works perfectly with the $5/25. Make $4 less any sales tax.

1) I know there was an ad that ended 12/24. No new ad this week until the 12/30 one correct?
2) I bought the Duracell batteries this week on 12/24...will I be able to buy batteries for rewards if I buy today or tomorrow?
2a) If not, will the battery rewards still be available 12/30?

Was the previous battery offer dated through the 30th? My thinking is that we have two different this week - one ending on the 25th; the second ending the 30th.

Where are you getting the 30th from? Weekly ad from 26th on ends on Saturday 12/29. All the email blasts I have say 2 in total per week per customer with promo ending 12/29. As discussed in previous threads you can buy another 2 if you bought 2 from 12/23 through 12/25 but be prepared to do a return if you do not get the rewards. Historically, batteries have always been limited to 2 in total per week. Staples week is Sun-Sat.

Oops; I meant 29th. I looked at my PC's date and forgot that it was after midnight.

Yes, I bought a pair on Monday, the 24th. I will buy another two Saturday/later today. And will assume both purchases will be free after Rewards, but will definitely keep the receipt from the 29th handy if I have to do a return.

Sorry to take off topic, but is it a hassle to return something purchased with rewards? there is an item I am thinking of buying with rewards, that is online only, with a very sketchy description and no picture. I wanted to buy with rewards, but if it's a hassle to return I will buy first without rewards, then return and either rebuy with rewards, or just return. please advise, thanks

I am confused... Are these good indicators of 2013 deals?

as a point of reference, it suggests that january is gonna be good if past history can be believed, ^_^

cnIsfg said:   FYI additional information including specific SKUs for the Free after Rewards banker boxes and storage totes are now available online at Staples.com hereThat looks wrong. The boxes that are free this week are the economy ones, not the bankers boxes they show on that page. And when you view the ad, even for the Manhattan location that link has, it shows the economy boxes.

Interesting.. it has both the economy and bankers boxes on that page.

It's a point of reference - the main thing to note is that the deals in the 1st week of 2013 are very similar to the deals in the 1st week of 2012. The pattern most likely will repeat for the remainder of January since their fiscal year hasn't changed and goosing the revenue numbers to finish Q1 strong is important since January is typically very slow in retail. The expenses (Rewards, etc) get pushed into Q2 when they don't have as much scrutiny.

Kaspersky Internet Security 2013 1 user $49.99 has a new $40 rebate limit 10, combine it with the 20% off software app cpn to pay $0 net (before taxes) and cash out rewards or build up towards premier for 2013.

$49.99 - $9.99 (20% app cpn)= $40 ($40 ER limit 10)

Can add $5/$25 cpn to make a small MM.

All are used by someone!

I may have done something stupid today. I needed to liquidate some rewards on one account and decided to run the (2) photo paper and (4) reams TWICE. I did that twice so ended up with 4 photo and 8 reams. Will I be able to file for the SER with a different household or is it now linked to the household on my original account. I had to do it like this since I needed to hand over my reward account to use the rewards. I hope I didnt screw up too bad.

Staples Rewards doesn't process rebates, so it shouldn't be an issue.

It's weird --- my 12/15 battery purchase was posted, but a few days later it had disappeared. I entered the barcode, and it reappeared a couple of days later. All the other ones posted okay. I took screenshots of everything, just to be safe.

how do you get the Staples "20% app coupon"?

As per my understanding, you cannot buy stamps, gift cards etc. using the rewards. However, looking at my rewards statement, i see that rewards were applied to stamps as well (divided proportionally among multiple purchases I had). Does it mean that rewards can be used to by stamps at Staples ?

Item No Item Description Qty. Price Coupons Total Spend Rewards Earned
684081 684081 - BOOK OF POSTAGE STAMPS 1 $9.00 -$4.66 $4.34 $0.00

No, you are just seeing how the Rewards system is screwed up and prorates rewards/coupons against all items once the transaction hits the Rewards system. Most of the time their screwed up system works against you and sometimes it works in your favor in getting back less/more rewards respectively.

double post.

Is the binder deal (100% Rewards) going to continue for several weeks in January like it did last year or is it just for this week? I guess time will tell. It's a really good deal for those who use binders (even though they are way overpriced).

TBD, new ad will be out on Thursday 1/3 for next week. If it does continue, it will have to reset for each sales week to get more free (as opposed to the limits running for the duration of the promo)

Felt silly buying 132 dollars in Avery Binders, but c'est la vie, need to get premier for FY13/14. Now we just need some FAR tax software in the next month or two when I get a 300 dollar reward check, lol.

No kidding. These things are behemoths!

Is there any downside to mixing FARewards with other items (photo and Hammermill paper) and the $5 off $25 coupon? Or should I buy all non-FARewards in one transaction with a $5 coupon and then the FARewards items in other transactions each with $5 off $25 coupon? I think because I plan on using the $5 off coupon on the FARewards also, then I should just try to mix the items to get as close to $25 as possible.
