I got this for christmas- same price then. My take: Nice picture but not so nice sound. That is not unusual for flat panels of today. I may plug in some external speakers. My biggest complaint is the slow channel change. In all it is worth the price.

I got this for Thanksgiving at Sears for 199$. Great TV for the price - no issue with volume for me. Agree with the channel changing (OTA & Cable) being a bit slow. 1080p picture is very good, black (contrast ratio) is excellent. All in all, good bang for the buck.

Volume is not the problem. Sound quality is poor. Very tinty- no real bass. That is hard to get with the tiny internal speakers that face backwards. I did get some older external speakers I had from a computer hooked up. They have a seperate woofer. Major improvement but now have no control of the volume by remote.

I have it hooked up to Comcast cable. When I turn on the tv, it won't change channels for about five minutes, and then it changes channels normally. Is there a way to fix it?

I've had this tv for a couple of weeks now. There is not a problem with the sound. For thos that are having issue with sounds, do you know that there are sound adjustments for treble and bass???? As well as adjustments for the picture. I'm just saying, check these things out.
