I think you're missing the point of the post !

Hot deal where? This thread should go in the cold deals section Man, $74.99 for a refurbished OCZ 120gb ssd.. really? I think I paid about that much for a better 120 gigger a year ago. Where are the ssd deals any more? I want to find a good deal on a 240 and a 120 for about 65 or less. Til then, the bank is happy.

I get these ads all the time via email but I don't just copy the link and post it here, because it's not a "Hot Deal" I normally come to Fatwallet.com to see certain item(s) that are a "hot deal" not and entire ad, like Sith like's to post and btw it's annoying.

when i look at OCZ SSDs, i just feel sick in my stomach even thought i haven't eaten anything for last 6 hours, i had about 6 of them that gave me too much headache, get rid all of them and replace by Kingston, Samsung & Crucial n swear to never ever buy them again

Were you running them on Intel systems (Core i3, i5, or i7)? I have one in my laptop, two different desktops, as well as several other builds and I have not had a single issue, but they have all been in AMD systems.

Also, McAfee is total junk. I love how it alerts you about a virus/spyware just as it is detected already by scanning with antimalware. Sort of fitting, useless like its founder.

I have OCZ's (agility 3 and vertex 3) running on both Intel and AMD systems and all 4 machines run without issue. However, I did make sure to update the firmware before I used them. I heard that people had issues either with the older OCZs or when using the SSDs without updating the firmware. @namcongtu, do you fall in either of those two categories?

The newest gen OCZ, Vertex 4, are actually pretty good. But there were tons of reliability issues with the previous ones.
Still, the SSDs to beat nowadays are Samsung 840 Pros, Samsung 830s (a little slower than 840 Pro but just as reliable) and Intel 520s. Crucial M4s are fantastic but they've fallen a bit behind Samsung since they haven't refreshed their lineup.

Agreed. I went through 4 OCZs. Horrible.

Garbage of an ad, I don't know why it's listed on the main page. Waste of my time.
