I couldn't find anything on slatedroid. Note that this is NOT a clone of the Coby Kyros MID7015/HeroTab G701, and this model is not even listed on dopo's site (http://doublepowertech.com/), so I think it's too new to know much about.

This is one of those Allwinner A13 clones. These things come rooted. All you have to do is download Superuser from the play store and you're set. I bought one of these for my daughter for Christmas. She loves it. Plays all her favorite games and videos just fine. The build quality is not the best but doesn't feel too cheap either. Just don't go in expecting an ipad or Nexus 7 and you will not be disappointed.
