buy an item with a rebate, download the rebate form, follow the instruction on the rebate form EXACTLY (otherwise you will NOT get your rebate), keep copies of your rebate submission (receipt, UPC, filled form in case you don't get your rebate so you can complain and have backup records) receive your rebate in a few months
as a general rule read the rebate form before you buy to make sure there won't be any qualification issues. Typically you have to buy within a certain window of time, you must send in your rebate within a certain number of days etc.
