This camera uses the center part of the 16MP image sensor to achieve the 12X zoom. (Similar to Panasonic's extended optical zoom. But Panasonic at least provides the full resolution on regular zoom.) So the image quality is not as good as normal Canon cameras. Apparently the touch screen and WiFi are not good either. But for this price (error?), in for 1.
