I think a long time ago, the warranty terms were different for consumer use and commercial use, but I don't see that distinction any more at the Craftsman warranty page (notice that garage door openers are classified as tools). Sears does have a Craftsman Professional line that's supposed to be higher quality than its regular Craftsman tools, but this product doesn't seem to be that.
