I've been doing a little bit of price comparison between between FTD, ProFlowers and 1-800-Flowers.
All three sites have very similar products.
I found the best deals on www.proflowers.com though there is not a huge price difference with the other two.

Here's some interesting ones:

(For all products, pick "Flexible Delivery" to avoid the Valentine's day surcharge - Delivery On: Wednesday, February 13, 2013 or Thursday, February 14, 2013).

15 Sweetheart Tulips (includes a free vase) - $37.60

All the Frills - $45.62

Valentine's Day Smiles & Sunshine - $45.62

Two Dozen Rainbow Roses (includes a free vase) - $47.60

Looks like they charge sales tax in CA.

30 Tulips and "free" vase for $30, plus ship ($12.99), plus guaranteed V-D delivery ($4.99), plus "Care & Handling" ($2.99), plus Promotional Vase Shipping ($1.63), plus tax ($1.65) = $54.22. Hate all the extra fees, but still not bad for Valentines Day delivery. Waddyagonnadoo....

Of all the flower services I've used, ProFlowers has been the least troublesome. And the one major screwup they had, they went overboard to make it right.
