2. It took almost 20 minutes for it to show up on twitter. Looks like you have 15 minutes from when THEY give you the code not when you put in the address info.
Had to update my card info but then couldn't get them to reply with the confirmation, they would just say read their first reply. Had to send it to @askamex but it finally went through. Only took about 75mins.
Can you buy more than one using the same twitter account and different card? I tried and got this response "You've already purchased the $25 AMEX Gift Card (limit 1 per synced Card). If an error, contact @AskAmex"

Thanks OP, since I don't use twitter at all, it took me a fw minutes to figure how this whole thing works. After an hour of clicking and trying, I got my emial confirmation.
It's working pretty fast now. I just did it 6 times with 6 cards and 6 twitter accounts. Only took about 30 minutes to do them all. The last few tweeted back almost instantly.

Here is a reason I certainly did NOT participate: to have a bunch of 1$ charges from a ridiculously shady sounding company posted to my account.
How many are necessary to ensure that the card is legitimate? It is a rhetorical question; no need to answer. Certainly not more than one.
