Green to OP for finding and sharing a deal, but these sound disgusting. But then, it is McD's.

I tried these Monday. I liked them much better than frozen fish sticks. They have a pretty nice breading on them as well. I was afraid being so small they would taste greasy but mine were crisp and yummy.

My 4 year old son loves them. Was looking for something like this as an alternative to chicken nuggets. Glad to see it.

Once I saw these, I was intrigued as I do enjoy an occasional McD fish sandwich. However, now that I've tried them, I don't think I'll have an urge to ever have them again. They weren't bad, just nothing memorable. They kind of reminded me of a crab cake.

Just had some for lunch. They are ok. I ordered a "regular" and my bag (and receipt) had three snack boxes instead...for $3. Weird.
Ate two boxes and tossed the 3rd. That's a lot of nuggets. Prefer the sandwich.

Should have called them Fish McNuggets. I don't think they care too much as they are sure to disappear forever after the religious holiday passes.
BTW, why do people consider fish as not being meat again? Awyway...

Got some today in the drive-thru. They tried to charge me $2.29. The girl gave me my total. I questioned it. She said "oh, that's cuz the McBites are ringing up too much." Then she repeated the total to me, as if expecting me to pay it. I told her to get a supervisor, who made an adjustment. Then I see on my receipt that the supervisor only took off $1. I know it's only a difference of like 31 cents with tax, but it's the principle. These clerks were idiots! So I asked for the supervisor again. The supervisor then tried to tell me "oh, that's just tax!" Seriously! Now I was getting pissed, since they obviously are uneducated in every sense. She told me she wasn't going to adjust it any further, because that's all the system allowed. But I stood my ground. I said they are advertised at $1, so that's all I'm paying. I refused to move my car from the window. After 2 minutes the clerk finally came back, and gave me a dollar. I said "I only want 30 cents." She said the supervisor told her to give me a dollar. I said fine, and drove away. I plan on calling the corporate office to complain. It truly isn't about the money. I can understand lazy or uneducated staff, but supervisors should be better than that! Sorry for venting. But it is related to this McBites deal. Anyway, I thought they were tasty. I may get them again. But never at this location!

And why dont people eat meat during lent? No one can answer it for me. Was Jesus a vegan? Did he not like the meat industry? Or was it that someone close to the Vatican had a surplus of fish and this was their ploy to sell it out?

I tried them out today. Not bad, needs more flavoring. I wouldn't pay more than $1 for it though. They had a giant sign advertising the sale at my location.

These are the Pollock's balls.
"Wild caught" means a guy goes into one of numerous football field sized pens (where these are hatched and fed melamine) once an hour and hooks the net up to a mechanical winch.

I know McD's wants us to have this wholesome image of surly men making a wage fishing the waters of Alaska to deliver us delicious fish for one dollar, but um, that ain't what's going on folks...
These are products of giant bathtub farms somewhere in Asia. Tasty still, but the little writing on the box about "wild caught" is hilarious. They would cost like $9.99 for a snack pack if they were caught by actual fishermen, not $1.

In general ALL deals for franchises are YMMV as its left up to the franchise owner (except in the case where franchises are contractual obligated, but that is not the case for McDs) if they want to participate in the promotion or not. Unless it was advertised at your particular store (on the menu or signs on the walls) then you are lucky they gave you any discount at all.

Wow! Tried it tonight. Very bland and tasteless! Even ate it with their so-called tarter sauce. Aargh! Had to finally throw it out the window. This item is definitely a loser! Will not last long,
This item is the same as their tasteless breakfast 'Egg White Delight' sandwich. That, too, is a loser in the long run!
McDonald's needs to get some better tasting items quickly. They are going so blah!
They are fairly nice filet bites....not a lot of breading on them and are probably better than expected. 10 per package on the snack size and "only" 250 calories....but they are quite tasteless....if you are in for bland items this might be it. For $1.00 I would purchase again - for the $2.29 regular retail - nope...sorry. But 10 bites for $1.00 is fair. And yes they will be gone at the end of March according to industry publications.....
