MustSav3 said: What's the cheapest family plan for 4 lines and 2 lines?
2 lines with 2GB of 4G data per month (with unlimited 2G data after that) and unlimited text and unlimited minutes is $99 + tax 4 lines with the same is $119 + tax -I have this 4 line plan and we never seem to hit 2GB a month as we have wifi at home and work. Even travelling is fine. No overages just 2G fallback which is fine by me
4 lines with unlimited 4G (and talk+text) is $160'
Edit: that is 2GB per line not a shared bucket....
EDIT 2: opps those are for the value plans when you bring your own phone (so $300-$350 for the nexus 4 from Google).

I see that it's $99 for 2 lines for unlimited text and minutes, but it makes you add $20 (minimum) for data required for smart phones...

When deciding to save $80, you may also want to decide if the credit hit is worth it.

credit hit only happens if u don't pay the bill. now if u pay the ETF and make sure its all $0.00 then nothing will happen.

There will be a credit hit when we take the connection. Am I wrong?

Your credit is checked when you activate a line. They won't just trust you to a 2-year post paid contract without knowing your credit rating.
It's called an "inquiry" and too many will drag down your credit score. That's why I shake my head when people open a store charge card to save 10% or something. Just not worth it.

If you don't need to get a mortgage anytime soon, what's the issue with credit inquiries?

This doesn't have a meaningful impact on your credit. I decided to buy one and cancel after 15 days and pay the ETF. I get it now instead of 1-2 weeks from now and save at least $100 - I'm not sure what I'm going to put it on yet - Solavei maybe. Anything is better than the Sprint service I have now (and I used to work for them.)

Just a clarification for those looking to get this free Nexus; the free offer only applies to those on the "classic" T-Mobile plans and NOT the newer value plans. I called them directly and that's what they told me. I tried to add a line to my value plan and they said I would have to pay $149.99 and $20/month for 20 months.
I was really hoping I could do the free nexus but it was not to be.
Just adding that so others don't waste their time. However, I was able to convince the manager at my local T-Mobile store to sell me the nexus for $99.99 (minus $50 mail in rebate) in store plus waived activations (standsrd at the time) AND $100 credit on my first months bill because I was paying a hefty ETF to ditch AT&T. YMMV.
Anyone who is interested in opening a new account with any wireless carrier should try and milk every last $ dollar from these reps, managers especially.
Also of note, and I'm sure most fatwallers are fully aware, your place of employment can offer you a discount because you work there. I get 24% off my monthly bill with AT&T because I work at Sears and 15% at T-Mobile because I'm still in the military.
Do your homework!

Will do the same but wait for the rebate

why not just buy unlocked from google for $349 and then use tmobile pre-pay $50 card? No hassle, no credit check etc. Also getting that $50 refill is easy and cheap on eBay. Usually $50 card can be bought around $40. So $40 everything unlimited is the best plan from tmobile.
