Are you sure about this OP? What I keep getting is $149.99 - $50 Staples coupon = $99.99 + tax. The site keeps saying that I have not made the minimum purchase to apply the second coupon code.

Sorry, I have fixed it now. Use the attachment to get an extra $50 off.
But the attachment doesn't work online so this is really YMMV as to whether or not this will work. Manager inside the store will have to allow discount and coupon and might deny it.

Still not working. Still coming up with final price of $99.99.

Tried to order it online but the 79876 coupon didn't work. Phoned the order in and the rep applied the 79876 coupon code to the $99.99 price after instant discount, so I got the $49.99 bottom line price (less $10.90 in Staples rewards I had.) Delivery expected Tuesday 2/26 before 5 pm.
The rep couldn't explain why it didn't work for me since this model was clearly eligible for the additional $50 off coupon, but said sometimes there are "glitches" in the online code function for certain items.
Thanks for posting OP, I almost bit on the Brothers printers on sale last week but glad I waited.

Great price. I have this printer and like it but I do have an issue with it losing it's wireless connection sometimes after it sits a day or so. The router shows it connected but apparently the printer doesn't know it. Turning the power off, then back on resets it. It is not all that fast but it does do what I need with good quality. The software is easy to use as well. I use the ink cartridges from online vendors like 123Inkjets so you don't need to get them from Canon.
No go for me. They said they wouldn't price match their own website AND use the coupon. They said I could only do one or the other. I f^cking hate going to Staples.
I love this canon printer. I have the older version and still working strong with generic ink cartriges. You can easily clean the printheads by hand if it gets clogged really bad. Google it.
i couldn't order it online either but called the 800 number...and placed a phone order....told them I was under the impression it was 99.99 online and I had a coupon to use. Final price is $49.99 plus tax. Free shipping though.
I did the phone order as well and was able to get it for $49.99+tax & free shipping. I've been waiting for a deal on a AIO unit with these features, so it was a good deal for me. Thanks OP!
On my phone, so I can't investigate this myself. Are guys sure this printer can take the cheap generics fron Merit and 123? Most of the newest Canons can't. I know this is a generation older, but many of those couldn't either.

Online Chat and online order did not accept the extra $50 off online code of 79876 but calling in the phone order worked easily with coupon code 79876. See below the actual order with CA sales tax delivered the next day.
I had no luck on the phone. The rep kept me on hold for almost 10 minutes, then told me I could not use both coupons. Just left Staples this morning. Initially the guy said I could not use both coupons, he said that every time he's tried to do something like this before the second coupon gets rejected. I asked him to try to scan the second coupon anyways. He had to get the manager in order to do the price match, the manager said go ahead and scan the coupon the first guy was really surprised when it took it. $53.11 out the door. Definitely a ymmv deal. Thanks OP!

As I mentioned above a few posts, I have this printer and use the cartridges from 123Inkjets. In fact I'm ordering some more cartridges today for my printer.

As I mentioned above a few posts, I have this printer and use the cartridges from 123Inkjets. In fact I'm ordering some more cartridges today for my printer. Sounding a little too pushy for the ole 123 stuff. Their prices are higher than Merit and the eBay link that was posted. Have you tried any of the other after market cartridges? Im thinking of going with these from Meritline Im curious as to how well these after market cartridges work as far as accurately reporting ink levels and if there are any other issues. Im all for saving money on ink and have been using refillable cartridges on my Epson printer for a few years. Unfortunately these cartridges are supposedly not refillable friendly.
Nice find OP! The store's tag price was $199 by it rang up at $149. I had them match the web-site price, then after she gave me the total, I took out the coupon with no problem.
If you can get it its great price. I got mine on bf last year for $60. It's got everything you ever want like duplex scan duplex print auto everything. The only downside is it won't print gray scale - even when set to black and white it uses the color ink cart to fake gray, that just eats up my color cart in no time.
Found these replacement cartridges for the MX892 on Amazon. There were some complaints about leaking ink when you remove the cap, but a recent comment said it appears they made some changes to prevent it. For $5.47 shipped its worth a shot. I dont plan on printing any quality color photos, so i may just give them a shot. May try a few different suppliers just to see which work best.
Its completely possible that the pictures are some generic picture that these sellers have posted and may not be what you receive and its entirely possible that the inks are of different qualities. Decisions decisions...

TLDR; you have a short summary why you don't want to use cheap aftermarket cartridges? For the reasons listed in the Inkjet forum i linked to. Im also told that the newer canon print heads are not as robust as the older ones. I also read through a lot of the reviews on Amazon and elsewhere where people had issues with some carts.
That and i have been refilling for several years and have had good luck with it. Yeah its not as convenient as popping in a new cartridge, but its easy enough and not all that time consuming. The ink in the long run is probably cheaper than what you would spend on the aftermarket cartridges.
You know your using a Canon OEM cartridge and chip and the Image Specialists ink that Precision Colors sells is a good quality ink. I dont do much photo printing, but i wouldnt hesitate to, with the Image Specialists inks.
Just was the way to go for me. May not be for you, but thats your call.
