At 3 amps charge please do not think this will charge a dead battery. It will only top it off in a reasonable time and keep it topped off.
If you left on your radio, radar device etc and you walk out in the morning this will get you going again, if your car won't start. ITs worth the money...or get a bigger one.

I've charged a dead car battery less than 8 VDC at 2A without issue. Just need to charge 24 hr before voltage return to 100% charge state...12.85 VDC
It'll charge a battery, slowly. I think someone is better off getting something from HF instead for a few bucks more, or buying one of their small tenders for a few bucks.

But charging wastes about 40% of the energy, so adding 40% gives 28 hours.
