Either way, for $115 you get a "Grade 4, significant scratches or scuffs", busted up, used X-Box with no controller?? Am I missing something? This doesn't seem like much of a deal.

They have a two year additional warranty... princess4lyfe said: I can get a better deal at the pawn store! $99 includes 2 controllers a game and a 6 month warranty!
Ever since CowBoom sent me a destroyed Blu Ray player I view their 'deals' in a whole new light. If something like that blu ray player wasn't inspected, refurbished or even plugged in before they shipped it, there's no way in hell I'd ever buy a console from them. Keep in mind 'scratched' means 'looks like someone took a rake to it'.

I have no problem "hating" on bad deals...any day of the week. This significantly used one, is a prime example. Dry those eyes, OP...and better luck next time.

Also note, this is a pre-slim xbox 360 so even if it wasn't used, there's a high change of dreaded "red ring of death". As much as I love my xbox, I don't recommend getting a used pre-slim xbox.
wino4ever said: if this deal is not for you then why post? you all offer the negatives But do not offer alternatives... As I see it, the point of FW is not just about good deals, but learning about products and assessing whether something really is a good deal or not. If I didn't know much about the product, I would WANT people to comment both positives and negatives to help me decide whether something is a good deal or not. If I want someone to tell me that something is a good deal, without any information or comparisons, I'll just go look at an ad.
Since you asked for alternatives... for comparison sake the last two holiday seasons, we've seen the current generation xbox 360 (slim w/ 4gb) for $150 new. Is $40 extra worth it for new vs used, slim vs fat, warranty vs no warranty? In my opinion, most definitely yes, but you'll have to decide that on your own.
