Celeron 300A @ 464 on an Abit BX6 ftw! Thanks for the memories

Edit - wtf... New Member? I have only been registered here for 9.5 years!

I have a stack of old Celeron Socket 478s I haven't gotten around to recyclcing - they are worthless and these are 2GHZ and faster versions! A 1.2GHZ version - not worth the trouble of a rebate!!!!!!!! You can buy a real P4 socket 478 for under $5 on eBay that will be way faster than these things. Why would anyone bother?

That being said, today's Celeron CPUs are much better than these old 1.2GHZ dinosaurs. The modern ones are dual core and have most of the features of the faster CPUs but not the performance. I have one in a new server I built and it's more than fast enough for that.

"No reviews yet."

I'd heard Newegg has a reputation for censoring unflattering reviews...

Out of stock. Personally, I will get a new one.
