no you do not have to rebuy it, and you can install on all compatible devices

Temple Run: Brave is free now too, and like the others, not on iOS, just Andriod.

is there any way to verify this? i don't have any apps offhand that i've gotten when free, and then had the price go back up, but a googling seems to indicate that only paid apps are "remembered" by google even if you remove them from your library. thanks!

I have all of my free and paid apps available to me from the Google Play store even after I have uninstalled the apps from my devices. I have even changed devices and I still have access to them. I even cancelled the install to these Disney games because I'm not using WiFi at the moment, and I still have access to download them later, all without rebuying.

For Google Play, no apps that are offered free have EVER been later raised in price, it's actually against Google Play's policies. Basically, once an app is free on Google Play, it's free forever.

Very early on, Android Market and maybe early versions of Google Play didn't keep track of free apps. However, Google Play does now keep track of which free apps you've downloaded and installed, although you can manually removed them from your "My Apps" list:

Remember to restrict in-app purchases folks, temple run (at the minimum) allows in app coin purchases.

THANX OP

Where's My Water and Where's My Perry both have additional levels you can purchase in-app.

That was short lived

Are you saying that if the app is free, they can't charge for it later? If so, then please explain how these apps seem to be 99c again.

I'm guessing it was a price mistake, instead of Disney dropping the price as a promotion.

Here's Google Play's pricing policy:

Please note that once you have published an application for free, you cannot later add a price to that app.

not free for me...

Start off by opening up the Google Play Store app. From there, select “Menu”, then “Settings”. Scroll to the “User Controls” section, where you’ll be offered the chance to “Set or Change PIN”. Click on this, enter the code of your choosing twice and then be sure to check the box next to “Use PIN for Purchases” to make sure no one can accidentally spend money in-app without knowing the passcode.
