Credit to this thread which has the 3TB drive for $115.49 (today).

For many, 2TB is more than enough, and this drive is $38.50 less than the 3TB.

I guess this device can boot from usb. So, I will try to create a bootable usb thumb when I have time later.

I'll try this for under $85. The 3tb was a little too much for me to bite.

OOS. crap

I was able to add to cart.

i can add to cart on BB (not clearance.BB.com), but only for pickup, and its unavailable everywhere

I just placed an order with free shipping with no issues. Thanks OP.

I think you are looking at the wrong thing. This is sold out:
Goflex Desk

This is still available:
Goflex Home

I was able to place an order, too.

Good deal! I just got 2 1TB WD at target at 70%, total 2TB was about $60. Check out local target YMMV

gift card or other promotion cannot be applied to all deals at https://clearance.bestbuy.com/

Sweet - in! Will probably install Linux on this, and try to move my Squeezebox Server from my FreeNAS box to this - May be able to run it off a small USB drive....

will you share us some info about how to install linux on this? Any link which contains tutorial? many thanks.

sigh... i was looking at the "$79.99" one, which in retrospect would have been nuclear-hot with the 23% cpn i wasn't mentally applying to the $99.99 model. And, "sigh..." because i went ahead & ordered this one.

Very odd. Can add multiple items to cart on Firefox and Chrome. Try on IE and it consistently says not available. This is after copy/pasting and removing FW referer.

In for one. Pretty good price and its a wifi network drive. Cool!

It's not wifi. Just wired GB Ethernet

This sealed it for me. Thanks

Got one, thx OP!

Got an email from Bestbuy last night saying it was back ordered.

Ohh boy!

It's back in stock again. Just ordered one. With today's code PROTECT24 it was $60.79 + tax.

What you ordered is the different 2TB drive, not the one OP posted.

Yes, that looks like the same thing.

My bad, thought I was in the other thread. That thread is now an expired deal.

There's a good reason the network drive is still in stock: READ THE REVIEWS before you pull the trigger:

Thanks OP, in for another one @ 25% off today ($75 + tax for me). 2 Yr warranty and ability to return to store within 15 days is a big plus. Still an OK deal if you just wind up with the bare drive.

Yes, but I do not see REALLY good reviews for NAS drivers except few and they are not $80.

Can anyone tell me how much power the thing uses? Or at least what it says it is rated for on the unit?

Thanks.
What is the reason to install linux on it and how do you use it?

norcim said:   What is the reason to install linux on it and how do you use it?

LAMP, miniDLNA, torrents, samba...
Google it.

This is so hot and tempting. RJ-45 means that it is a NAS and not just an external drive. I must resist...

Wow, the reviews really make it sound like a POS. You think they'd be able to manage something better, or at least eliminate more of the issues from a big company like Seagate.
