Hope I didn't make a mistake.  Does anyone know if recent firmware updates corrected the problems?  After reading reviews, even at 40 bucks this router
might be a waste of time.

zack

brought this router a month ago. It is working fine after update latest firmware and turn off fastrack plus which makes this router to crash once or twice weeks. 5 Ghz is weak and slow compare to ASUS RT-N66U. Just $40, you got what you pay for.

There is quite a difference between a 40$ router and a 140$ router.

its a good value at 40$ maybe every at 60$

the 7 ports is nice because you dont need a switch if you have a few extra devices..

ie NAS, ethernet printer, OBIHAI 100 etc.

Yea, But when this router first came out I think it was selling for 125 - 150 bucks and getting good reviews.  All of a sudden, the reviewers started attacking.
I guess nobody wanted to lose the advertising dollar of western digital.

Price is back to $150.
