Thank you BigWhy. I am in for one.

I have 180G of this turd, and it runs GREAT!

so if I am looking for Reliability and Efficienty(for home server) should I wait for the 840 pro or this one should do it?

Good drive for the money. Guru3d did and write up on it, and gave it good marks for the money.

Very tempting, but I think my new netbook needs a 7mm drive - grr!!!

Overall this drive has excellent reviews @ Newegg (71 out of 83 are 5 eggs); however the following 1 egg review caught my attention:
Cons: Randomly freezes for exactly 60 seconds. After trying a few fixes I found on the Internet, I found out I'm not alone with this issue, but there were no good fixes. I then tried Intel support. Intel claims that because my PC has an AMD chipset, that must be the problem and I'll have to work with the motherboard manufacturer to address AMD's problem. A complete brush off by Intel.
If Intel will punt on support when using their†drives in†an AMD system, I'll pass.

intel should not have comment something like that just because pc is amd based doesn't mean its component should not work with it. i personally use only intel including motherboard, but this is not right.

Based off of these series of comment, none of the hard drive makers will support because most of the motherboarders do not build SSD. †I think he gave up too easily. †Call again and escalate.

† Sounds like nonsense to me. †Don't believe every third-hand comment in a review on Newegg.

† Thanks for taking the time to correct my typo!

I work as an IT and every once in awhile I get something like "Hey I need the HP keyboard because I have the HP machine, Dell keyboard is giving me sh*t"
