I bought it since it's so cheap. But just want to point out that the review states that "at least" 1 of the tracks is not the original... there may be more.

Anybody spot some of the covers? I tried a bunch of the preview samples and didn't. "Keep a knockin" is not the version I know, but it sure sounds like the architect of rock 'n roll. Maybe a live version. The others I checked all sounded like originals to me.
I still had a $1 from some fat wallet thing so for $.69 I had to jump in.
These sound like they are digitally remastered, so they are clearer, cleaner and some instruments are more noticeable than the "classic" version we remember. Almost like a different recording, but the clarity is just too good for such old songs. These are doctored and in my ears, better sounding than most other versions I recall hearing.
Some may indeed be different versions that the old 45's but after all these years, new if fine by me.

Nope, The Lion Sleeps Tonight is definitely not sung by Timon and Pumba.
Thanks, they don't make music like they used to. And I finally found a good use for my $1 Amazon mp3 credits.

Nice collection for under $2. I'm glad I saw this because I had a $3 MP3 credit that I forgot about, so it wound up being free.
