Buyer beware: There are Amazon reviews stating that they are receiving knockoffs. Please make sure that Amazon is the seller and shipper when you place in cart. Also please look at this video review to spot the differences between the real and fake. Good news is that the difference is very noticeable, so you should have little problem getting a replacement from Amazon if you do indeed get the fake ones. Don't be alarmed, order with confidence, just make sure to check once you receive the product.
Even though they appear to be genuine, read some of the reviews and the Q&A on top of the page. It appears there are plenty of fakes being delivered. It IS possible that some of the reviewers bought from other sellers to save a nickle. I did not read the reviews in depth.
If I get the 2" knockoffs, they'll go back. Amazon is good that way. They're just going to be stocking stuffers for friends who have trucks and are always called on by all our neighbors to do heavy lifting. I think it's worth the risk.

Amazon(not a third party seller) seems to be selling either fake ones or some inferior quality ones. Yes, this gets posted every time there's a deal on this. I too thought that people were either A) buying from 3rd party sellers (knowingly or unknowingly) or B) it was possibly a bad batch that happened a long time ago and has since been corrected. Then I saw this review from this past August:
Perhaps he got somebody's return or maybe there's still some old stock of these in some of their warehouses. I've read a few more reviews and it seems that people are getting the knock-off ones shipped from Israel from a company called Gimmick World, which happens to be a seller on Amazon. So it looks like it's probably a mixup at the fulfillment center like the reviewer says. Either way check your packages as soon as you get them in case you need to dispute with Amazon. They should take care of you though, that's why we love Amazon right?

I think the risk is pretty minimal, but it's good to let others know to look out for it.

I would order without too much worry. There's been many deals on this posted on FW for years and I haven't seen many people complaining about receiving knock-offs. If they have, they would be mentioning it in every one of these threads for sure. That said, if you do receive fake ones, please report back to us! The fakes are easy enough to spot, just watch the video reviews. The differences are so stark you'll know right away whether you have the real ones or not so you will return them before ever using them!
I tried these things and I still don't think they are very useful. Maybe if you were moving a fridge or a washing machine but pretty much everything else is just as easy to move by hand. They just make moving things across a room pretty awkward. Now for lifting something that's maybe tall and top heavy, I can see these things making that move more stable. Just don't expect them to work miracles. I tried mine on a couch ... turns out it's easier without. Tried them on a 180 pound metal coffee table with rounded edges ... completely worthless. I tried them on a standing tool chest to move up and down 3 steps ... also worthless. I think they'll work on a bookcase I want to move but that's about it.
ah, sorry to hear. have experienced similar issues w/ Amazon this past year, ie: returning a used product that was supposed to be new and opening the replacement to discover that it is also used (or dirty in warehouse shipping/distribution center). not quite the same, but when it's a gillette trimmer or shaving brush, that's unacceptable.
