I know there is a thread about the Newegg price on the Dual for ~$60... well it looks as if Amazon is now matching that price.
This is a good deal, I picked one up last BF for literally only a few dollars less. Great way to blast broadcast TV over your network, get it to a network only HTPC, and/or simplify your OTA distribution in your home! Oh, yeah -- for those of you who haven't cut the cord yet, it is golden for clear QAM too...

Any idea what is a good antenna to pair this with? Once in a wile I want to watch TV and I am comparing this to Aereo. Aereo is more money, but it is easier to access remotely and it is less hardware to maintain and they provide the power and storage. Has anyone else debated an item like this VS a service like Aereo?
The thing I hated about Aereo is how you were dumped back to the menu after a show. If a game lasted too long, you missed the end. When networks run one show into another, you miss the end of one or the beginning of the other. I also get more channels OTA and an not limited to two or four tuners. Once they incorporate continuous play, I think Aereo will be a great option for a one or two tv home.
As for which antenna, it doesn't matter. In fact, one of the really cool things about the HDHomeRun is that you can attach a couple to antennas pointing in different directions to get better reception without moving an antenna. The trick is to get the tv signal to the tv set. Right now, you need to have a server and a put a device on each tv.
This is a good tuner if you've got a strong signal. I have a PC with Avermedia Duet tuners that for all channels return 6/6 in WMC for signal strength. I tried three different HDHomeruns on the same antenna, and all of them would have channels that returned 5/6 or even 4/6. (yellow, indicating marginal signal strength in WMC)
If you can get it through Amazon with their return policy, it's worth a try. Getting an RMA from Newegg to return, I wouldn't risk it.
