Subscription also gets you a year of "membership" to the Smithsonian Museum. As best I can tell, the only actual benefit that provides is 1) a 10% discount at their B&M and online gift stores, and 2) a weekly email update which is actually fun to read.

This is an absolutely fascinating magazine. I love it.
