wondering why people still pay 300 on eBay/craiglist for same used model.. shouldn't it be below 200 ( given the risk & used ....) thoughts..

I received a push notice through their mobile app yesterday touting 'Minimum of $100 gift card' with any iPad trade-in. That may have been specific to Airs and Minis, I'll have to check.

Trade any iPad (including 1st gen) and get $100 GC minimum. I posted a thread about it before the crash and don't think it came back.
Any push email may have a different deal. With RedCard and Target GC, the best price I see outside of this offer is $388 at Target now (not counting FW cb). But with Redcard and BF, a new iPad Air 16 GB will be $355 at Target, if you can get it on BF weekend.

Honestly, Ipad 4 at 300 is still better than most tablets out there (with the obvious exception being the Ipad Air). I just got rid of my ipad 2 and ipad 3 16GB wifi at GameStop for tradein credit of $585. They both were running fine in IOS7 and running all apps fine. These older ipads are great value for most people who use tablet for basic stuff like web surfing, email, and video.
Meanwhile, my android tablets are now obsolete and slow with old gingerbread or whatever they had and its not even worth the effort to eBay them.
I actually bought the Ipad Air, but decided to return it and get an new Ipad4 64 GIG on eBay for $500. I just like the solid feel and will mainly use it for watching movies while I have the mini for on the go.
There is a drop down to see the next week ad, black Friday ad, Etc. (see attached image)

Best buy will match the iPad retina 4gen. I had them match it and easier then going to Staples. Also iPad mini 1st comes with 100 GC at BB starting tomorrow. iPad 4 not bad. It not an iPad air but nice upgrade if you have 1st gen. You can get some trade in value at BB and price match will drop your final cost.
