got my refurb 4yrs ago, still kickin along fine, it looked NIB, and all manuals and stuff looked new

been using ooma for ~2 years. setup is simple and saving a ton of $. if you want to save even more $, completely ditch your POTS line. One caveat - if you have a traditional (not internet-based) alarm system that is using POTS, you will need to purchase a satellite uplink to continue to have alarm service. This scenario takes a little longer before you recoup your initial investment but it is still worth it.

doesn't your alarm system just need a dial tone?

I switched from Vonage to OOMA a few months back and have been pretty happy. I miss some of the Vonage features, but my taxes went from $15 to $3 per month.
I can give a code for a new Ooma Telo for 99.99 with free shipping from Ooma to anyone who wants, PM me if you want it.

You can get the new one from Staples for $139.00 - $20.00 Easy Rebate

Also use the Online/Phone Coupon Code 65124 $30.00 off $150.00 with filler items. Coupon Expires on 02/01/2014

Hope this helps

Good find OP

I can't get the price under $125. Do you think I am just too late?

yes. my alarm system needs a dial tone. however, the telephone company wanted to charge me a monthly fee (IIRC ~$10) just to have a line w/ the cheapest phone plan. so, i ditched the POTS line entirely and went w the satellite uplink. the uplink costs some $ but it was less than having the POTS line. was not a huge difference - maybe ~$5 a month so it saves me ~$60/year. like i said, not a huge savings but better in my pocket than the telephone company's. plus, if i live another 50 years, i could save $3,000. whoo-hooo
