I am not sure, but I think you have to use the DC to get the credit. Also, I think Discover has some warranty benefits..... (more)

It shows up on the purchase order.  It says "Gift card to be received via email in 2-4 weeks".  I purchased one about 3 weeks ago and I'm still waiting for the email.

your "should be" does exist..but also exactly as you said it's ONLY a TV.... not a smart tv.  And also an off brand.  Samsung don't offer just a TV with the size this big, pay more to get a tiny bit more.

rated:
Just purchased the 60" with a Sharp panel...really considering downgrading to the 55" for a lot less money and a true Samsung panel!

rated:
If you're thinking of 55" - go with Philips 8000 series - it's more pricey - but totally makes the difference

rated:
You can always buy someone elses promotional card too to make this even cheaper. Raise.com has them for about 7% off, and eBay has em for 5-20%.. Depending on how fast you can snag them.

I just got my email this morning. Time to churn it to something else.....

Got my $109 (10%) Cash Back conformation from Discover card, still waiting on the $400 Dell email. Placed my order last Thursday

Down to $997 with $300 gift card now.

I also ordered the 55" via shop discover...used the discover card.  Could I have used amex (for 2 year warranty) instead? after the Cash Back conformation from discover, do they mail you the Cash Back or is it a statement credit?
Thanks in advance for your reply.
