Yes airplay: http://usa.denon.com/us/product/hometheater/avreceiversht/avr452...

Most buyers for a home theater Denon receiver would be perfectly well served by an X2000 or maybe an X4000 and don't need to step up to this monster. Many more features than most people will use and if not driving equally priced speakers, they are putting the extra $ for this receiver into the wrong spot.

Edit: that being said, this is a great deal if you want this. X2000 and X4000 are last year models like this one, and if you can find in stock can be had very cheap too. Picked up an X2000 4 months ago for only $400 and it has plenty power to drive some large Boston acoustics full range fronts with THX level center and rear channels. Replaces an old 3805 that had even more power and possibly a better amp, but the audyssey and extra features more than made up for it.

I feel bad for those who spend money on high-end RX receiver to pair along with cheap, crappy speakers.

Amazon has some pretty bad reviews of this model, which is inexcusable for a $2500 piece of gear.

I went through all kinds of pain with a ~2010 onkyo $800 receiver, and had heard that Denon was suffering similar quality problems a bit later, looks like this model may be one of those "less reliable" units.

In this power grade I would prefer the x4000's newer technology, this is older... unless you have to have 9.2, there may be a few other small things left behind like that.
I wanted x4000 for the pre-outs and the particular Audyssey bundle over other options out there. I am more likely to need the 4k in x4000 at some point than the 9.2 in this one.

At the time I was able call Adorama to get them to match prices from lesser sources on eBay.
