Starting 12/18 Office Depot will have Samsung 19" LCD model 914v for $330 - $60 MIR - $40 MIR = $230. Use $30 off coupon and it is yours for $200.

Monitor (SKU 221752)

$30 off coupons: 34952535 or 56185960 (thanks, Gr1m). I also tried $40 off and it didn't work on this LCD.

Rebates don't seem to be in-store only.

I've got this monitor and I like it a lot. It isn't the best I've seen, but you can't beat it for $200.

i think this samsung has gotten better reviews. It doesnt look as sleek though.

LCDs are semi-tech in Office Depot world. Some coupons work on them, some don't. But, why are you buying a coupon? If you are getting it online, I listed one in OP, and there are more to be found in the OD coupon thread. And if you are getting monitor at B&M and trying to get B&M coupon, you are risking OOS while coupon gets to you.

I had this for Staples BF deal. It's a great monitor but no DVI. So I returned and got on the 2005fpw Dell deal. Hehe..........

Hey Folks, how does this one compare to the Sony that they were selling for a couple of weeks for $199?
I am not as computer savvy as most of you, so I could use all the help I could get.
I bought the Sony but if this Samsung is better, I will sell the Sony to a buddy of mine that was looking for a 19" lcd.

Can someone explain why DVI is so superior over Analog? I've been looking for a good LCD for a good price to do photo editing on PS CS. I have a spider to color callabrate.. would this monitor not be good for doing this because it has no dvi?

Well this one is not as good as my 24" SLCD for $200 AR/AC/PM back in BF 2009 either.. but it's a good price for 2005 I guess.

does the 12ms timing on this monitor make it better for gaming than the Sony one that was on sale with 16ms timing

i know in general the lower the better, but didn't know if anybody had experience with the Samsung for gaming vs. the Sony.

Is it better to have a higher contrast ratio (600:1) vs. a lower contrast ratio (500:1)?

Fleabay has it for $9.99 so OD is totally ripping you off. 1 bid, auction ends in 21 hours. It was such a struggle to input this on eBay.

I got mine on Dec.18 and usually send them in quickly (same day) Mine is pending and should be being sent out this week, meaning I should see it hopefully by upcoming weekend at best! I just received my 1st $100.00 WinXPpro rebate this past Friday which went out to them (OD)Dec 11th or 12th! Of course I have had to refax everything at least once already!
