Thanks for the tip! My sub just ran out this month. I use MBNA, so I created a "virtual" credit card with a 2 month expiration, and a $2 spending limit. |

Didn't wired automatically renew people and send them to collections agencies a while back?
Oh, that's right, yes, they did.
(Ok, the North Shore Agency is really just a bunch of thugs who send out letters and can't really ding your credit, but hey.) |

Wired is a great magazine. I don't know about their renewal policy and don't care since I always renew via magazinevalues.com or NetMagazines.com.
$2 for a whole year is crazy. Then again, these magazines don't live on subscription money.
Let's see... what's 15% of $1.99....too much numbers forget it. |

passivex, I work in the publishing industry and I can tell you for a fact-you are right. Magazines are paid for by the advertisers, not the subscribers. If Wired carried no ads, it would cost you 10 times what it does. |

nynate said:2yrs - 24 issues on eBay for $2.99
I picked up 3 years for $3.99 a few days ago as a gift for my father (I already get Wired). Got Stuff + Maxim, 3 years each, $2.99 total for both too. eBay is the way to go for magazines |

I have ordered a dozen subscriptions from NetMagazines over the past few years, for myself and as gifts. No problems, great prices. |
