Thanks for the tip! My sub just ran out this month. I use MBNA, so I created a "virtual" credit card with a 2 month expiration, and a $2 spending limit.
passivex, I work in the publishing industry and I can tell you for a fact-you are right. Magazines are paid for by the advertisers, not the subscribers. If Wired carried no ads, it would cost you 10 times what it does.
I picked up 3 years for $3.99 a few days ago as a gift for my father (I already get Wired). Got Stuff + Maxim, 3 years each, $2.99 total for both too. eBay is the way to go for magazines
