From the experience. If you still have the email of bonus ink read that carefully and read this offer carefully, you will find the difference. |

One of a few people here really knows Staples Just sent myself a note to follow up in 6 wks. Bought a printer yesterday and signed up today. No matter what they say, will call them up tonight to make sure it's good. Otherwise, return and rebuy. 10% of purchasing price is huge. Also see this one: "You will receive your Bonus Reward Check in February." Don't believe what they say, even the CSR also may not know what you are talking about. I recommend you to press the EASY BUTTON, go and do the return-rebuy. |

Actually, I received a snail mail from Staples which offered me an extra 20% back in rewards January 7-13, 2006.
************************************************************************************** Just visit StaplesRewards.com/bonusweek to RSVP by January 13, 2006.
You'll earn an extra 20% back in rewards January 7 - 13, 2006 - up to $100 on everything except computers, gift cards, postage stamps, sales tax, state fees, Awards.com™ purchases and purchases made from outside companies through Staples.
You must show your card or keytag to the cashier in store, or use your customer number by phone or online to earn rewards.
You will receive your Bonus Reward Check in February. ****************************************************************************************
I am not sure whether all Staples Rewards members would be qualified for this offer. BTW, I live in Chicago. |

Sort of OT, but along the same lines, does anyone know if this is possible for the regular Staples Rewards Program?
Example, let's say I join the Rewards Program in October 2005. I make over $2000 worth of purchases online/instore WITHOUT using my Rewards #. So I can add all those receipts manually at staplesrewards.com. Except, 1) you only get up to $15/quarter for the basic account. 2) If you spend over $1000 in a (calendar?) year, you get bumped up to the Rewards Gold program, which gives you $30/quarter and 5% back instead of 2%. I should've opened two separate accounts back then, but didn't think I'd be spending $2000 at Staples (of which the Infocus was $600 ).
So, is there anyway of retroactively opening an account under a separate name so that $1000 of those purchases can be manually credited for Q4 2005?
I would call Staples Rewards 1800 number, but I'm not sure that's a good idea.
Thanks.
They usually don't credit you retroactively, but it might be worth a phone call; they probably won't be able to credit you, but they might send you a courtesy check. If a lot of your purchases have PMs, lots of coupons, and other "unusual" activity, then don't draw attention to yourself by calling |

I wouldn't recommend pressing the "EASY BOTTOM". You might get slapped |

Now is a laptop considered to be a computer? This will be hot if it can be used for laptops.
Thanks twophaser for the 20% link. I just signed up for it.

Hmmm, I don't qualify for either the 10% or the 20% offers. Wonder what their selection criteria are....maybe people who haven't bought that much lately? |

I signed up via the 10% link. I came back to this thread and discovered the 20% link, and I was able to sign up through that link as well. Does that mean I'll get a bonus 30% reward?
I printed the confirmation page after I signed up, FWIW. |

I would admit I did buy and PM a lot recently; and I can signup for 10%...From my wife's account, which was not used often, no problem with 10% first, 20% again. But I printed both screen shot (hit prnt Scrn, then ctrl-v in word, FYI)... Thank you OP and Twophaser, I love FW. What a terrific Monday. After I realize it's 3 mins to 4pm, I barely made it to the other street and sold sth bought end of Dec (may regret tomorrow but today is today). With this, I call it "quit time"... See you guys in next Staples deal... |

I qualified for the 20% off, so if I buy a monitor for $400, I'll get $80 back in the form of a rewards check? |
