Edit:
Added Staples bonus rewards info
Although mod points to old thread regarding pricematch to Office Depot. I could not verify $24.99 pricematch via instore pickup. It shows $39.99 for instore pickup.

Edit #2:
Guess not sleeping at night leads to bad math. The Staples 20% bonus reward would be $5.39 not $1.99. ($26.99 x .20 = $5.39) Updated title and math.

I picked this up last week from OD for $15 AR. It really works well and is very easy to use. My wife made a ton of lables for stuff with the "sample" tape that came with it still has probably 1/2 of it left and good battery life too. Perfect for labeling files & folder tabs.

seems two rebates are the same but worth trying. BTW, senior member, you have not noticed the potential 20% extra reward?
Going to pick up one in-store. I believe if you buy online, you can use more than one ink cpns...
Yep, thanks Mod for the link. If PM to OD's 24.99 (should be easy pm for in-store), two rebates at 20, and hopefully $5 extra rewards for me, wow, FAR!

1. As far as the 20% extra reward... DOh! it was late and I was sleepy.
2. The OD thread that you're referring to... when I choose instore pickup as of today... the price was $39.99 not $24.99. So it's YMMV with a PM if that is still possible locally in other areas in the country. This was a straight up deal... no PM necessary (as stated in title).

You are right. So this is not a repost

Label paper seems expensive,

You can get these lablers for ~$10-20 all the time. So, buy one now, and when the tape runs out, sell/donate it and go buy a new one. Last I checked, the tape cost around $10-20.

On the other hand, this one is much nicer than the last one I got for FAR, so this one might be decent to actually BUY <gasp> tape for.

Oh, and the rebates are different. The dates for the Staples rebate (05-36600) is "09/17/2005 through 04/15/2006" but the dates for the Mfg (05-96160) is "12/30/05 and 4/15/06". Different dates, different offer numbers, different rebates.

Home Depot in Cincinnati has them on clearance for under $10 including a clear carrying case. YMMV in your location

I can't seem to pull up the manufacturer's rebate form - I just get a blank web browser window.

Any suggestions?

Thanks!

Call them up and tell them they're wrong (if you purchased it during the correct dates)

Dave

Nice, I bought that along with Turbotax + $20 cpn. So with this $10 MIR, that will make it free

and Turbotax got saving from the cpn too. much better deal than I got whenn I ordered.

I don't know who and where to call?

alert mods

I got the same message as invalid, I just sent them an email and if I could not receive their help on this, I will just return the item without UPC to the store--Staples and let them solve the problem, is that an idea? Anyone else?

I also found the previous version PT-1180 that is refurbished for $9.99 at Buy.com. I have ordered a couple over the last few weeks for friends. I have used it in the garage, office and boat. Talk about adicting!
http://www.Buy.com/retail/product.asp?sku=202138371&loc=101&sp=1

It's not free, but one click and $9.99 + shipping cost and it's in the mail. Free shipping if the total order is over $25! Now that's a deal. I just ordered a book I wanted and that got me to the free shipping.
