The rebate form says nothing about where you have to purchase the remote.

FYI: I got my compuplus ship confirm and tracking number Monday, 676 arrived Tuesday. After the convoluted web setup (which, although convoluted, was much better than "code search,") and tweaking the delay on Tivo commands down to 0 ms, it seems to be working great. Well balanced and responsive, and very intuitive.

Does it work for my device XXXXXX??? Logitech's website has information for most of the devices, if it does not have one, you can add one within minutes. Since the database of devices is shared among the community, most likely someone would have added your device. So stop asking question whether it works with device x or y.

Apply a 30 off 150 coupon, eBay is your friend though very few are available right now. But the rebate is good for long so no problem with getting this coupon eventually. Also this coupon is stackable with the rewards coupon mailed just a week ago from Staples, so it can stack no problem.
PM to Buy.com for $122, or Amazon for $124 there should no be a problem for the PM for those who know how to work the Staples deals (online chat). this would give you ~66 credit. 3 day delivery so shipping should not be charged.

Suggestion: Don't install the software from the CD - it will just force you to upgrade it during the install [and uninstall the old version that you installed], download v4.4 here or v5.1.1 here.
Why?
Because the software on the CD is older than 4.4 [prob. 3.4 or something]. By downloading the software you avoid having to install the old software from CD, then the web wizard config tool [which sets the remote up] saying the software you installed is out of date and you need to update to the newer version. The old software will need to be manually uninstalled [via add/remove programs] then you will need to download the software [via the link] and install from there.
Basically it makes setting the remote up easier, and less time consuming.- PhDeez

REBATE POSTMARK DATE Notice the postmark date requirement (April 25). I contacted Logitech CSR and complained about the date (my order was to be delivered April 26 although I ordered it April 21). CSR indicated that was OK and to turn in all paperwork showing purchase date. Logitech CSR's have confirmed that people have until May 25 to postmark letter NOT April 25. That should help some people!!

Really, though, I was one of the few burned in the JustDeals.com refurbished Harmony 659 deal with a crap remote. I'm still in the process of getting the refund back...
But, yes, this rebate will come in handy for a brand new Harmony. Let's just hope there's a 10% coupon from Buy.com or a like place that people can use this rebate with.
I want to pull the trigger for an 880 right now, but I'll wait a week or so....
I'm trying to read the detailed specs and compare the two, but it's too late for clear thinking. So the 880 has color screen and HDTV commands while the 676 does not? Are there other important differences?
