Guys, I am in So. Cal I found bunch of ads at the same counter saying "Sign up for BB Rewards Zone and purchase min$50 - Get $10 BB gift card INSTANTLY"
I took that ad and my receipt for laptop to customer service. The lady ask manager about it. Manager told her to do return-rebuy and take off additional $10 instead of GC.
I end up getting the laptop for 400-10 = 390. (CA disposal fees also reduced to $6 from $8) Thats an additional $12 savings. Anyboday who got this ad can do it after they buy the Laptop

^---Morons reviewed the laptop because what they dont know is that 128mb of video memory is allocated by default to video leaving only 128mbs for windows hence the poor performance. Allocating less memory to video will fix this. Cnet reviewers are MORONS. When will everyone learn that Cnet is a MARKETING company and knows NOTHING about technology! Either way upgrading to 512mb for $20 is a must. and the 90min battery life is the fault of the half-capacity battery and NOT the laptop.

from what ive read on other BB threads, starting in 2006, there are no more MAIL IN REBATES on laptop computers, all are instant rebates.

Any idea/expeience with BestBuy policy regarding return-rebuy on Sunday morning...Expecting the stock to be real low come Sunday morning....I think it is a great price point for Father-in-law browsing/gaming (solitaire) machine

And yes, you can buy today and PM on Sunday. Even easier without rebates since you don't have to return/rebuy.
edit: Only 90 day warranty? It looks like all the manufacturers are in cahoots to get us to buy those in-store warranties.
And according to my local best buy, this is an ONLINE order item only - IT IS NOT carried in the stores.
Can anyone confirm this? Or refute it (hopefully).
Either way - my BB had none.
EDIT: My local guy was a moron - YES - this is in-store now for $699. Not an online only item as I was 1st told....

OP...Can you CONFIRM this or are we working on a hunch...Not to question the deal, but am planning on doing a return/rebuy...I REALLY NEED THIS AT THIS POINT IN TIME. Just need confirmation that the Sunday AD has the deal...
