I don't think so. Two 7800GTX SLi are way better than one ATI X1900XT.

Here is the Anandtech Review on the X1900 series. If you go by the common 50%ish increase from what seems to be what you get out of SLI, they are probably about equal, depending on the game you are looking at.

The better deal is the XT really, but since I could get the XTX for less then an XT is normally, I personally decided to splurge some. I might end up downgrading from an XTX to an XT if I can make some money off the deal, but it's doubtful.

Check eBay, at least 2 sellers, 13 coupons available at the time I post this. Not cheap thou, running $4.50-10 a coupon.

Depending on the game, you can get -10% to 80% improvement. Yes, some games may actually run slightly slower. But I think on Average it would be a 35% increase.

What is ATI doing there? It seems they are short of stock of X1900XT/XTX which are supposed to beat 7800GTX.
