Same for Maryland. They just start taxing me beginning this year.
Just scored a 24-105L. I'm surprised the coupon hasn't expired yet.
Thx OP!

It's good. Theorectically there should be a reduction of sharpness in some degree with an extender, but I do not feel any appreciable loss in sharpness from using the 1.4X extender. I use it a lot with my Canon 70-200mm f/2.8L.

Though it's nice to brag and have everyone know how kiasu you are, you could add this to your collection:
EF-S 17-55 f/2.8 IS USM (Available in April 2006)
Don't think IS helps a lot at the sorter end. |

Just jumped in for the 24-105mm lens.
Found a couple good reviews:
Review1 Review2
I'm hoping this will be a lot better than the stock lens that came with my Rebel 300D. Do you think my older camera will do this lens justice? Is it worth upgrading to the Rebel XT or a 20D?
I thank you OP! (but my bank account doesn't) |

MSRP of about $1150 seems kinda of expensive for a non L lens since the IS is prolly not needed at the shorter end. Having the 17mm wide angle helps because of the 1.6X cropping factor but I think I'll keep my Tamron 28-75mm f/2.8 lens which can be had about $330. |

Dell EPP has the Canon EOS 5D for $3,299...way too much.
Where is the best deal on the EOS 5D where the $300 Canon rebate would apply? I assume it needs to be from a Canon authorized dealer? |

Here's another review from owners
This lens is a hit/miss. With Dell's excellent return and exchange policy, I'll take my chance. Good luck everyone who'll purchase the 24-105L or 24-70L.

Coupon still available is only becuase Dell set their regular price so high. After 15% off, it is still not comparable with other reputable online retailer's price. Not so excited. It would be nice if there is 25% off. |

Amazon sells EOS 5D for $2969 and NO tax in many states, $45 less if you have A9 rewards.

Lens.. Canon 70-200mm IS from Dell Home $1,959.00 - 15% coupon - $35 off $300 Dell coupon (eBay) = $1630.00 $1630 - ($32.6)2% DPA - ($48.90)3% FatCash - $50 Rebate + $120.xx tax = $1625
Places like B&H has this for $1700 + S/H. So saving of about $100 I am estimating.

The XT price is really high there compared now to Amazon and a few other places. Dell has that 10 days of savings or whatever its called. Apr 7 is digital camera day. Ive got to wonder if thats going to be a dud or a killer deal with this coupon on the XT. |

FYI: B&H has a special price of $1599 + s/h (~$18) - $50 rebate + 0 tax (assuming outside of NY) = $1567
If it's not posted already, they've had a 'specials' code of PSMAR which still works |

The 135L, 85L, and 35L are super sharp and have amazing Bokeh.

How do you get the $1599 price? I don't see anywhere in the checkout process to enter a promo code though
That would be a much better saving. Then I can cancel the Dell home order.
TIA
