Thanks OP!
Got mine too. Left it charging overnight so haven't even tried it yet (I have other Harmony remotes so I'm not expecting too much difference). What X10 modules are you trying to control? Do you have the X10 convertor (to convert IR to X10 RF signals) Check out the Harmony forum at remotecentral. I've seen some posts in the past that helped resolve X10 problems. There's also an X10 forum on that server. I'm pretty sure that you'll be able to get some help in either one of those forums. Good luck.
I think I need to have the X10 convertor to make it work.
Thanks Austerville! |

Here's a decent price for one from Smarthome. I haven't looked anywhere else, so you might want to check for a better deal elsewhere, now that you know what you need. Edit: Note that I haven't tried this module with the 880 so I don't guarantee that it will work, so do you homework on remotecentral before you purchase. |

I got mine today too....
I opened it and there is a slight rattle that sounds like it is inside of it. Does anyone else have this problem? |

I don't have mine with me right now so I can't tell you whether mine does the same thing (I haven't used it enough to notice), but apparently that's normal and is caused by the tilt sensor that is used to detect motion to automatically turn the lighting on when you pick up the remote. |

I agree. The rattle is the sensor that turns the remote on when you pick it up. |

Thanks... I was concerned it had a loose part and did not even think of that. |

called in ahead of time and after going through a couple of reps. i got a commitment along with operator id number that they would accept D-ell purchases for the rebate. i included a note with the operator id number and a short explanation that he pre-authorized it and i had removed the upc and used the remote based on his assurance that it would be processed. |
