Shipping is now $4.

My camera recommends 10 mb/sec for any card over 256 mb. 40x about 7 mb/sec so I may hold out for a faster card even even if the size is smaller. Still a good deal for those who can use it.

They make some pretty slick power supplies. I've swapped the stock PSU's in all 3 of my computers for Ultras. I don't insist on the Ultra brand, but they are good units with good deals frequently available. They also market memory.

Yea I agree...especially with a DSLR...like my pentax which takes Sd.

This card has write speed of only 24X. 40X is the read speed.

i been doing some research and i cannot find the read/write speeds on a sandisk 512. anyone have an idea?

i did find that the sandisk 512 is 8x the price of this ultra. And sandisk is 5yr warranty, ultra is lifetime.

I'm only speculating here, but I'd be willing to bet that all of these cards are made at only a handful of manufacturing facilities and then rebranded by the marketers. So there's a strong chance that the only difference between a Sandisk and an Ultra is the label and packaging.
