wonder how many fires are gonna be started in drought stricken areas this year by careless idoitic persons trying to create their own firework displays...

not exactly sure how many inches under average we are here in Dallas, but it is not pretty...

i been having my own personal firework displays every night this week. all i have to do is look out the window. people been lighting them off all week long. just to show this year will be great.

I've gotten these "variety packs" in PA before. You can even find smaller versions of the same thing in grocery stores like Giant. IMHO, they get boring quickly. No rockets. Pretty much everything just shoots a fountain of sparks out of a stationary base. Some make shrill noises while shooting their sparks. That's about it. Usually there are some sparklers thrown in for good measure.

Be very careful if you are a NY State resident and planning on making a trip to PA. Fireworks are illegal here and I saw on the TV news that at least NYC cops have been waiting in unmarked vehicles in the parking lots of firework retailers near the PA state line. When they observe a car with NY State plates leaving with a large purchase, they follow them and when they cross into NYC they bust them and seize their car!

Just tell the cop you are only driving through New York to go to a family vacation in a nearby firework legal state.

The guy that wrote this is a complete idiot and unfortunatly most of the things I would like to say about him would get my post deleted. Many of the fireworks you can purchase at a fireworks stand are made right here in the United States (many black cat products for example). It is also sad to think that NYC of all palces is making this such a big deal. I am sure the cops have better and more important things they should be focusing on. It is sad to think the number of murders and assaults that will happen with little immediate investigation because the police are too busy being jerks. Just my 2 cents.

Black Cat Firework Retailers (outlet has best prices)

They were atleast 50% less than those tent retailers that are like carnival freaks.

I want stuff that causes forest fires and blows off limbs. Just spent $279 on a ton of stuff including over 100 motars. If I lose limbs, I'll post pics.

ONLY $279. Dude I just dropped over $500 on mortars, fountains (to please the old lady), and other small crap to piss the neighbors and the cops off during the rest of the year. I plan to go back for another $2-3 hundred before the 4th. Georgia just passed the a new firework policy last year, so all this stupid state can sell are crappy TNT brand with fountains that are more like tall expensive ripoff sparklers. We passed a Black Cat Firework Retailer on the way up to our favorite place. They have the massive stuff you can actually be proud of to call "A FIREWORK". I don't know about the price comparisons to Black Cat, but Phantom Fireworks DOES haver prices on its website link to Phantom Fireworks and most stores have B1G1 free on the entire inventory INCLUDING their massive assortments. Page 3 of the AssortmentsI even managed to grab some of the discontinued items, which you can take advantage of the B1G2 free. They aren't everywhere but try your chance at finding one here.

Edit: THIS IS A MORTAR KIT!!!! Brand New 6 shell kit (6-burst each). Take into account the Phantom B1G1 policy (at most stores, if not then its B1G1 for .99 cents (doesn't include assortments)) TWO 6 shell kits (6-bursts each) for $49.99. That is 6 shells x 6 bursts x 2 kits = that's count them 72 individual busts at ONLY .69 cents a BURST. I don't know where you can compare to this.

I have been googling for some firework videos/clips of that Black Cat retailer, but didn't come up with any results from YOUTUBE or video.google, but I did find this site. You need Quicktime, but it's worth it. Smarter to know what you are getting when you are spending the big bucks on these fireworks.

Nah, he'll be bringing them to the local OD tomorrow morning. If they cancel out the BTO deal, they'll be a little action in the front lot.
