Usually you can get TNT's buy 2 get one free offer for some extra bang to your buck also they have promos for over certain amounts get some free reloadables or things of that sort. I find that usually three launchers each having 2 to 3 tubes of single, double or triple shot can put some nice stuff in the air. The fun comes from 8-10 people who each drop $100 on some works, that is when the display becomes good.

the 500g cakes are a must! and grucci has great areials as well

"Too bad we can't buy stuff like that where I live in CA"

You can if you have a permit.

The places that sell fireworks in PA will not sell to PA residents unless you have a fireworks permit. So really its better for out of state shoppers.

If you want to shop within an hour of Philly (Close to Pottstown,PA) check out FireworkRUs
These people are great (they do the Reading Phillies Fireworks Displays). If you pre-plan you can buy by the case (too late now) and save LOTS of money. But they also have a small retail store where you can get the good stuff (if you are an out of PA state resident).

Yeah, these are PA legal fireworks... about the equivalent of those "bang cap" strikers you throw on the ground. You can get these TNT packs at Wal-Mart as well. I picked up a small assortment of these at Wal-Mart the other day for $7. Kept my kids entertained for a little bit, but they are spoiled on the real deal. Ohio is only 30 minutes away where you can get the good stuff.

Did you check out the link? FireworkRUs
They sell aerials and cakes, and 500g assortments. The only thing a PA resident can buy are the "bang caps" and sparklers, but out of staters can buy anything. Like This or This
Which are much more than "bang caps"

Sparklers, trick noisemakers & novelties are exempt under Ohio law. Other consumer fireworks may be sold to Ohio residents upon execution of a form agreeing to take the items out to the state within 48 hours, or to out-of state residents upon execution of a form agreeing to take the items out the state within 72 hours.

Indian reservations contribute to too many campaigns for costco to be legal to sell this here.

In fact online gambling is a class c felony in washington now thanks to tribal casinos greasing pockets.

Child pornographer, Animal mutilation, played some Taxas Hold 'em. ok, rant off

And why exactly do we have a "nation" (indian reservation's are sovereign) inside of our nation? The government should make a plan to incorporate all of the indian reservations. JMHO

If Pa and Ohio residents can't buy fireworks in their own states then all the fireworks must be bought by people from other states where they are illegal if I understand this correctly.
I guess people from Ohio have to drive to Pa to buy fireworks and vice versa.Man we have some strange laws in this country.

I have some freinds in Pennington NJ 08534, do you know the closest Costco to them in PA? Thanks.

So, there are states where it's legal to sell fireworks, legal to posess them (for at least 48 hours if you are a resident, anyone else can have them forever), but illegal to light them. These states are then surrounded by other states where it's illegal to either sell, possess, or light them. Yep, the politicians that made these laws are pure geniuses. They have guaranteed a steady supply of revenue, whether it be by sales tax made from selling the fireworks, or fines collected when you get caught with them, or lighting them. Please, people, VOTE in any election you are entitled to, and vote out the incumbents for a fresh face. It really doesn't matter where they say they stand on "the issues", because most of them lie about it to get elected anyway. Career politicians, not terrorists, are the greatest evil we face in this country.

As for those NY cop stakeouts, it's pretty easy to avoid them. Buy your fireworks, and instead of heading right home, go for a drive IN THE OPPOSITE DIRECTION. Find a nice place for lunch or dinner, spend an hour or two, THEN drive home using a different, round-about route than you used to get there. The cops will not waste their time with you, guaranteed.

In PA, PA residents cannot buy fireworks. Non-residents can buy fireworks in PA. It is also illegal to set off fireworks in PA.

There is such a thing as a PA legal firework. PA residents can buy these and set these off. These are the type of fireworks sold at Wal-Mart, K-Mart etc. Very small bang with this type.

In OH, anyone can buy fireworks. Even if you are an OH resident, you have to sign a form stating you will remove the fireworks from OH in X hours. Obviously, most people don't. I believe it is illegal to set off fireworks in OH.

I suggest making a stop at a gun show too. That'll really throw them off your scent.

In Florida you can buy the, blow off my arm, type fireworks if you sign a form saying you will use them for "agricultural purposes". Go figure.

You're funny, but I've sucessfully been using the above tactic in the NH/MA area for about oh, the last 25 years.

Maybe the shoe is part of another hot deal? (I don't expect to see a thread on THAT though)

Costco is great for fireworks. It's the only place I get mine from now. Nieghbors always seem to have the real ones though.. where just one of their arsenal costs as much as this whole package. Hmm....

Anyway -- good deal as always @ Costco.
