labboypro said:Still waiting for this to come back. I submitted in November If I track down status on the Sprint site, it's not listed. I called Sprint and got the typical first-line responses.
Just found this--
The Terms and Conditions for this offer require the Sprint PCS or Nextel phone purchased to be activated with a new phone number.
Also just re-read the printed terms. BBB filed. |

Does anyone know what they mean by Handset model #? It says to refer to the envelope, but I don't remember seeing it. Sorry if this is a stupid question but I want to make sure everything is 100% correct on the rebate. You know how rebate companies are... |

Apparently in response to BBB filing, I just received (from my November submission) a postcard telling me that I didn't qualify (no new line activated). There is no such requirement on the Kelloggs rebate form, and their "out" is a pointer to a URL for "full" T&C. Since web pages can be changed to say anything they want, I'm back to BBB... |

Thanks for the info! It took about 20 minutes of them repeating their scripted response and me reiterating that the submission form did not indicate anything about new line of service... but I now have a tracking number. Fingers crossed. |

Got my 2 rebate check in the mail. Again, this is not for new account, nothing indicated that in the rebate form. Ask to talk to supervisor if they refuse to give you the rebate for new account reason. |

Anyone have update? I got the "You are not eligible because it's not a new line of service" excuse from the agent and the supervisor. It's been almost a year. |

I had to call in two or three times over a span of 4 months to finally get my rebate. That after getting a tracking number after the first call. All three times, I got the runaround until I kept persisting that I was due $75. Don't give up! |

Save your time, and just email them. Equally effective in correcting the rebate status to approved. |

Does anyone know how to determine the MSRP for this rebate? Sprint's website lists a "regular price" while other sellers' listed MSRP varies quite a bit. I'm interested in the Sanyo Katana II, which has a regular price of $199 on Sprint, but a "retail" price of $299 at a third-party vendor. Or, does anyone have a list of phones with an MSRP of $299+? |

Sprint/Nextel sucks period. I had them for 2 years, worst mistake. They slipped in a handful of add on features onto my bill that cost me several hundred dollars. They also have the worst service coverage. Reception is terrible. So if you think a $75 is worth it go right ahead. |
