Saw this MIO C310x GPS advertised DFW's Sunday Frys ad for $329.99. Circuit City has it for $379.99. If you've got a Frys locally you should be able to PM easily and if you've got the $40 off $199 should be a smooth deal.
If you don't have the coupon, you can purchase off of eBay, or try printing and using the one posted in the Acer desktop thread Linky to coupon- this is YMMV as it's not the orignal flyer. Alternatively, I believe this coupon is from the USPS moving packets, so you might be able to obtain one there.
Feedback from current/prior owners of this GPS are appreciated, as real reviews seem to be few/nonexistant. Reviews on CC's site are mostly postitive however.
Cheapest price froogle found from "reputable" dealers online was $395.44 (besides CC's price).
Any reviews on this? I was thinking of buying the Teleserve.

Not too promising, CU rated it at 14 of 15 tested.
The Magellan 760 got high ratings, and has been on sale for $299 (sale over now, but it pops up from time to time). The Garmin Nuvi 350 was also top rated, but too pricey for me.
Oh, in that case, this isn't the model listed in the CR review- that was the Mio 269 (as your quoted rated 14 out of 15)...which doesn't resemble this unit in the slightest and is old and discontinued.
The C310x is apparently a "revised" GPS, as Mio had a C310 previously (which apparently was a stripped down version - No BT, No Traffic services- of their top end unit, the C710. I believe the difference between the C310 and the C310x from what I've found is the C310 used destinator, and the C310x uses iGo.
I found a mention of the original C310 on Cnet, which also contains a link to the more in depth review of the C710 to which it is compared to.
I got mine, price match to fry's and 10% off coupon from eBay worked fine. Thanks OP!
Excellent quality and the software beats hands down my PocketPC with mapopolis. Accurate positioning and fast acquisition of the satellites. Seems like you can customize the look as well (http://www.gpspassion.com/fr/news.asp?id=715). Seems like Mio is a very popular brand overseas and the iGo software have been a huge hit in Europe. Design wise is very attractive too and compact.
I talked to the manufacturer representative yesterday and the maps should be updated soon, iGo is working on Canada and other in the western hemisphere might follow soon after that.
BTW, Fry's sale ends today if you are going to try the pricematch!
I was just in CC the other day looking at this unit and the sales guy said it was crap! The floor model looked really screwed around with, I couldn't figure it out at all.
Pros: I've been looking for a GPS like this for a while, but this is the only one out there without the flipping antenna...and it's small, I can put it in my pocket. I can take this everywhere. My friend has a Magellen...that thing is just too bulky. It is so easy to use...everything is self explanatory. With the MIO, I can pretty go anywhere without getting lost.
Cons: It's a bit too light. The alphabets on the screen is in alphabetical order...so it does not have the regular keyboard layout.
Other Thoughts: I was running out of gas one time in San Francisco and the MIO helped me find a gas station less than a mile away. I didn't have to drive around looking for a gas station. I also use it to drop off all my drunk friends too...because they were either passed-out or too intoxicated to give me directions.
Anyone know if this unit has text-to-speech? Wondering if this unit is better than the teletype unit that's got the long, long thread on SDeals.

I just love mine. No text to speech in this unit just "Prepare to turn right in 1/2 mile" "Turn right now" besides that the unit is top notch. I like it better than an i5 that my wife has. Comes preloaded with all US including Alaska, Hawaii and Puerto Rico. It has 1GB of space available of internal storage for more maps or MP3s/pictures and the SD card slot. Automatic Night mode works great, glare hasn't been a problem (which is in my experience with the Garmins). Fast satellite acquisition and fast re-routing. Routes are almost always the best route I would have picked myself.
Here is a review of the beta of the iGo software for PocketPC which is similar to the software running in this unit. Brighthand
At $149 on BF is red hot! I am going back then and PMing again since I should be covered by the 30 day price guarantee.

I think I'll go pick one up today and do a return rebuy on BF.
***************** Actually, I'll wait until tomorrow as there is a 14 day return policy on GPS at CC.
Is CC BF like Bestbuy? I hear BB usually changes the SKU on all the sale or hot items.

Manny-
You're actually better off buying another unit now; I don't think CC will PM the BF $50 MIR, however they have a $50 MIR out NOW (good for purchase 11/09 thru 11/11) so all you'd be PM'ng would be the actual purchase price difference. They can't invalidate your MIR (which CC has been known to do after PM's) since one would be offered at the BF price as well.
If I were you, I'd go buy another unit, then return that unit with your ORIGINAL receipt; Then you qualify for the new $50 MIR, and will be able to get the same BF price after PM. Should come out to $137.99 after CC's 110% PM and MIR.
I'm unsure why glassvial would say it's YMMV on the PM; CC's policy states they'll gladly pm 110% of the difference against their own sale prices:
Price Guarantee If you've seen a lower advertised price from another local store with the same item in stock, we want to know about it. Bring it to our attention, and we'll gladly beat their price by 10% of the difference. If you see a lower advertised price (including our own sale prices) within 30 days of your purchase, we'll refund 110% of the difference.
Our policy applies only to advertised prices. It does not apply to special offers or promotions, including rebates, free-with-purchase offers and special financing.

Our policy applies only to advertised prices. It does not apply to special offers or promotions, including rebates, free-with-purchase offers and special financing. It's very simple, because it's a BF PM, not your average every day PM. Last time I tried to PM at Circus City on BF, they said we're not PM'ing today, "it's just too crazy" ... this was said by a girl who was literally standing around doing nothing, I might add. Either my CC has really bad management (highly likely) or CC PM's on BF are YMMV
You wouldn't use the new rebate form for a price adjustment, only if you did a return/rebuy- for which there is no reason to do so as you already have a $50 MIR available now. That means you get a two week jump on getting the rebate process started, as opposed to having to wait and send it in then, when everyone and their mother will be flooding their mailbox.
Glassvial- Maybe I'm not being clear; you don't have to do the price adjustment "ON" BF- only have to have the ad to PM to during the valid 30 day period. So while you may have had someone tell you they were "too busy" to do the adjustment that day, that doesn't mean you can't get the PM the day after, or the day after that, etc.

Good luck getting the PM outside of that very limited time frame. Catch my drift?
Sure, except that's not how the PM policy reads. " If you see a lower advertised price (including our own sale prices) within 30 days of your purchase, we'll refund 110% of the difference."
Note it doesn't say "you must PM the day the advertisement is valid, or "within a 6 hour window"- it says "lower advertised price within 30 days of purchase".
No need to argue about it, I've been there, done it, it's the policy. No skin off my nose.
Oh, and not everything in the ad is a 6 hour special.

Hey MannyPR...I bought this gps and love it...have absolutely no complaints...works flawlessly... I did however screw up....my kids ran out of the car and into our home with it.... they left the box containg everything else behind -software,maps,mounting arm, and whatever else it was in there...needless to say ..some jerk broke my window and took off with the box thinking he had gotten the goods... I now am trying to purchase or dl the software that was in the box...I have purchased a universal mount thingy and use my razr charger to power this thing...lol

Oh, and not everything in the ad is a 6 hour special. True, but this unit is. And you must have a lot more lenient CC than I do, around here they're hard-a's about PM'ing anything, period.

Has anyone actually used this unit?
Seemed a bit less user friendly than Garmins when I played with it in the store, but that may not be a good test.
The C310 has gotten a lot of good reviews, and the C310x is supposed to be an upgrade from that unit (uses iGo instead of Destinator, according to the manufacturer). Still looking to see if this is a better deal than some of the cheap sources of the Garmin C320 (mp3, etc are not important to me).

Funny, as I don't see anything on the ad scan that says that- care to show me where it is? The only page I see anything about "limited availablity" items is the first page. Also- this isn't a PM; its a price adjustment to their own lower price, which is what makes it so easy. You're not trying to PM some other stores BF price, it's their own.

It's a walk in the park.
QnDI welcome you to come try this at my local store Good luck.
Since the available reviews indicate the overall owners experience as positive -vs the Teletype which from what I've read here and SD seems like a big buggy POJ- and given the over $100 price difference...I'm pretty certain this is a hot deal as is.

QnDBut the mio doesn't have text-to-speech, the TT does...again unless someone figures out how to hack the mio then you could load a gps software on it that does have T-T-S, then it would be mega hot

It seems they have text-to-speech on the previous version c310. However the software of c310 is not as good as c310x's which is iGo. Any boby has some idea? which one is better, c310 or c310x? text-to-speech or iGo? Thanks!!!

I'm guessing it is actually the c310 at Staples since that's what they're fine print states. Newegg also carries the c310, so it is still out there.
I wonder ... if I get a c310x at CUSA/CC, can I reload a Staples c310 from the c310x installation disk to effectively upgrade to iGo?
Sorry to bring this topic back from the dead but does anyone have the Unlock-C510-Mioskins.zip file and wouldn't mind uploading? I've searched google as well as gpspassion forums for the unlock files and the links all seem dead. It would be greatly appreciated.
